Christmas, not everyone’s favorite holiday but mostly people love it because of the joy it brings to our families . Theres also a question  millions of pedestrians ask them self? How do all celebrate Christmas across the world, well there’s different ways we celebrate because there’s different cultures and ethnic groups around the world.  Well here’s an example in Japan, Christmas in known as more of a time to spread happiness rather than a religious celebration. Christmas Eve is often celebrated more than Christmas Day. Christmas eve is thought of as a romantic day, in which couples spend together and exchange presents, fried chicken is often eaten on.

Also some countries don’t even celebrate christmas because of how much poverty and distruction war has caused to there home. Or they dont because the have low income or maybe they just celebrate Hunicha which is a very religous holiday like Christmas. Some people dont even know why we celebrate christmas! Which they dont teach us why in school but traditions,passing on culture, and church. Christians believe that Jesus is the light of the world, so the early Christians thought that this was the right time to celebrate the birth of Jesus. They also took over some of the customs from the Winter Solstice and gave them Christian meanings, like Holly, Mistletoe and even Christmas Carols!

Also, some people dont beleive in god or jesus and some people think there the same people well there not and jesus is gods son which is what I learned in church. I get it people have different beileves but its nice to have a holiday to bring people together even if you moms and dads fight with horriable customer service while trying to buy new phones. Those memories are the ones you share on christmas day while sitting together under the Christmas tree and drinking coffee while the ground is covering in white snow. The presents dont matter its being happy that your celebrating the holiday and have those privileges because even I dont think about that when I write my Christmas list. I personally think you dont appreciate the different things you have until you dont have them. We all need to remember there are homeless families in need but they still have eachother and thats all you need. I hope you remember to think of what would you do without your family?
